Hi, I’m Ken Jelinek. Thanks for visiting my web site and giving me a chance to introduce myself. As a real estate professional, I would be honored to serve you in the real estate market here in Anchorage, Alaska.

I’ve been living in Alaska for nearly all of the last 21 years. My first exploit was driving tour buses during summers back in my college days. After graduation in 1981, I spent my first winter and loved it so much I made Alaska my home.

Like so many other Alaskans, I’ve been involved in camping, fishing, hiking, running, biking, and now sailing. Over the years I’ve contributed to the community through the Big Brother/Big Sister program, fundraisers for MDA & the Heart Association, and by getting involved in various political campaigns and projects.

I was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with 3 brothers and 3 sisters. My Dad was a "Chief Warrant Officer 4" in the U.S. Army. My mother was for the most part a stay at home Mom and worked very hard raising us "weeds" but on occasion would get a couple of jobs to help make ends meet. We traveled a lot throughout the U.S. and Europe.

I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit and a free enterprise work ethic about me. Way back in college I decided that I would pursue a wide range of work experiences so that when I settled into a career field I would have much more to draw on in my pursuit of success. My resume reflects this "rich" background with highlights in the Oil, Airline, Tourism, and Real Estate industries as well as various endeavors in Self-Employment.

Real Estate has been my chosen career since spring of 1994. The first two years as a Property Manager for nearly 200 rental properties, year 3 as a Broker of my own very small property management company, and for the last 3 years as an Associate Broker in sales here at RE/MAX Properties, Inc. This last spring I earned my "GRI" (Graduate of the Realtor’s Institute) certification to reinforce my degree in economics as well as my continuing education in the industry.

One thing you know for certain if you’ve searched the Internet at all is that there are a lot of real estate agents in Anchorage. You may think professional representation isn’t necessary, especially if you’ve been in town for a while or if you’ve bought or sold a home before. To keep it in all perspective, however, there are about 4 times as many attorneys! While a number of them are my friends, it certainly reinforces the need to have everything done correctly and timely whether you’re buying, selling, or renting.

Real Estate, just as Sailing, has potential dangers and one really needs to choose a professional that gets them where they’re going and keeps them off the rocks. That person should not only be full-time & fully qualified, but also someone that they like and can communicate with comfortably.

Yes, I am "campaigning" for your vote of confidence and I am asking for your real estate business. With this said, allow me to encourage your emails, phone calls, and visits. Allow me the opportunity to demonstrate how I might best help you.
